The Town of Mooresville is partnering once again with Welcome Home Veterans Living Military Museum and Richard’s Coffee Shop for this year’s Veterans Week celebrations.

The Flag Processional and Ceremony kicks off the events on November 7. It will begin at 9:30 a.m. outside of Welcome Home Veterans Living Military Museum (165 N. Main Street) and end outside of Town Hall (413 N. Main Street).

People can participate in the annual Blood Drive on Thursday November 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event will be held at Welcome Home Veterans Living Military Museum. Appointments are encouraged. People can visit OneBlood.org/Donate-Now, then search for this event to sign up.

On Saturday, November 11, the public can pay respect to local Veterans during the Glenwood Park Memorial Ceremony. It begins at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Park (273 Glenwood Drive).

The public is encouraged to attend the One Nation Under God Luncheon behind Richard’s Coffee Shop (165 N. Main Street). The luncheon is free for veterans and residents. It begins at 11 a.m. and will wrap up by 12:30 p.m.

The day will conclude with thousands of people lining Main Street for the annual Veterans Parade. It begins at 1 p.m. outside of Town Hall and will end at Main Street and McLelland Avenue. Please note, Main Street will be closed to traffic before and during the parade.
