Douglas Edward Robinson of Mooresville, N.C., has passed away at age 67, as of Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville.

He was born April 11, 1955, in Peoria, Ill., to Frank Robinson and Virginia Harlan Robinson.

Douglas leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Cindy Varnadoe Robinson; and two daughters, Megan Robinson and Shanyn Robinson; as well as extended family.

He grew up in Melbourne, Fla., where he joined the U.S. Air Force during the Cold War and served honorably for nearly five years, and where afterwards he later met his wife, Cindy. Douglas become a North Carolinian, as he and his family have lived in the state for over 20 years. He was an International Tax Professional who proudly owned his own business for the last years of his life. He was an American Patriot, who believed in our country and what it stands for under God. He was always learning about new things and had interests, including History, Science, Orchids and Honey Bees. He now sleeps and awaits God’s call to awake in His Great Resurrection.

Douglas is loved by his family and will be greatly missed until they meet again.
