Jared John Holland, 35, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away at this home on July 18, 2022. He was born on October 5, 1986, in Minnesota.

Jared enjoyed sprint car racing and had a short stint as a driver that ended three laps later, and he enjoyed tinkering with engines. He loved being on the lake and fishing, even though he couldn’t touch the fish without a glove. He was also an avid collector of fishing poles and lures.

Jared loved to eat and his favorite question to his wife was always “What’s for dinner?” He was an expert at turning trash into treasure, and he could find the best deals on Facebook Marketplace and do any needed repairs, especially restoring jet skis. He had a remedy for anything mechanical. His dream was to one day live on a big yacht with his wife Holly. Jared loved his family and was a great friend. He would be there to help anyone that needed it. He was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. There will never be another Da.

Jared was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marv and Ella Jean Holland and Albert Benning.

He is survived by his wife, Holly Holland; children, Tyler Holland, McKenzie, Sam and Mylee Martin and Sadie Lou Hinson; brothers, Brent Holland (Shannon) and Curt Holland (Becky); sister, Kaylene Goerndt (Darrick); grandmother, Darlene Benning; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Holland; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Karriker officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice in his memory. Please notify Holly of memorials made so she is aware.

Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, Mooresville, is serving the Holland Family. Condolences may be made to the family at www.cavin-cook.com.
