Lester Lambert, 74, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. Born on September 15, 1947, in Iredell County, he was the son of the late James William Lambert and Marie Gregory Lambert.

Lester retired after 38 years from International Paper. He enjoyed working outside and reading his Bible. He loved going to church, and loving Jesus was his passion. He was an ordained Deacon and attended Hillside Baptist Church.

Lester was a devoted Christian man who loved and cherished his family. He dedicated his time spending with his family.

In addition to his parents, James William Lambert and Marie Gregory Lambert, he was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Linda Parker Lambert; and his two grandsons, Daryll Moore and Travis Wagoner.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Lori (Danny) Campbell, Karen Lambert, and Amy (David) Wagoner; his grandchildren, JR (Haleigh) Moore, Diana (Jesse) Tulbert, Shane (Amanda) Campbell, Amber (Jeremy) Ball, Tyler Wagoner, and Tanner Wagoner; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Braxton, Colton, Caden, Hannah, and Levi; his sister, Bessie (Press) Anderson; his brother, David (Darlene) Lambert; and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Fred Shumaker officiating.

Serving as Pallbearers are Danny, Shane, JR, David, Tyler, and Tanner. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jeremy.
