Pressley Bost Hillard, 86, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at his home.
Pressley was born on July 11, 1935, in Iredell County, N.C., and was the son of the late Frank Neil Hillard and Ethel Bost Hillard. He attended Statesville schools and Gardner Webb University. Pressley served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He later retired from the Statesville Police as assistant chief.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Brown Hillard; daughter, Teresa Crawford (Robert); two sons, Ron Hillard (Billie) and Kendall Hillard (Lara), and four grandchildren, Jennifer Cranford (Phillip), Stephen Crawford, Megan Huffman (Brett) and Curtis Hillard. Also surviving are four great grandchildren, Blake Cranford, Jaxon Cranford, Kayla Cranford and Dylan Cranford.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 23, at Troutman Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 24, at Iredell Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
