Ms. Janet Danaher Morrison, 71, was born in Sumter County, S.C., on October 3, 1951, to the late William Danaher and Jewel Troutman Danaher. She departed this life on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.

Janet was employed as a group home manager for Brookdale Senior Living.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Thomas Danaher and Mary Roscoe.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, two sons, Hank (Shanika) Chapman of 326 Walton Drive Statesville, and Anthony (Janet) Morrison of 280 Sugarpine Trail, Clayton, N.C., two daughters, Nicole (Neil) Gray of 261 River Hill Road, Statesville, and Donna (Andre) McCullough of 1133 Fulton Drive, Statesville brother, Bill (Karen) Danaher of 3201 Sassafras Trail, Carbondale, Ill.; eighteen grandchildren, Jalen (Kristina) Gray, Jasmine Gray, Alani Gray, Jalen (KG) Gray, Carter Cohen, Dredon McCullough, Drayke McCullough, Avion Morrison, Landon Morrison, London Morrison, Misha Little, Haven Chapman, Dorian McCullough, Dalten McCullough, Hayden Turner, LJ Dixon, Melani Dixon, and Melei Dixon; and a host of other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Christian Outreach of the Piedmont at 1:30 p.m. Reverend Glen Usry will be officiating the service. Visitation will be from 1 to 1:30 p.m. at the church and burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Park Cemetery.
