Kevin Jay Snoddy, 63, of Statesville, N.C., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in the presence of family. He was born October 14, 1959, in Wooster, Ohio, and was the son of the late Larry Jay Snoddy and Amy Hodges Snoddy, who survives.

Before his Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis, Kevin was an avid runner and a dedicated member of the Statesville High School cross country team. Kevin ran everywhere he went until he was no longer able to, and his friends and family were never surprised to see him running at all ends of the county.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Larry Jay Snoddy.

In addition to his mother, Amy Snoddy, he is survived by three brothers, Kyle Snoddy, Keith Snoddy (Laura), and Bobby Williams; a sister, Gail Williams Smith; a sister-in-law, Maureen Woodward Snoddy; seven nieces and nephews, MaryGrace Snoddy Wasik, Madeleine Snoddy Mathews, Ashley Snoddy Scarborough, Christine Snoddy Carroll, Jason Harwell, Joshua Harwell, and Jessica Harwell Owens, along with their spouses; and 13 great nieces and nephews.

A service celebrating the life will be held for family and close friends on Friday, May 19, 2023, in the Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home beginning at 3 p.m.
