Mr. Perry Dewayne Dalton, affectionately known as “Punkin,” went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. He was born in Statesville, N.C., on February 28, 1969, to the late Thomas Roy Dalton Sr. and the late Dorothy Geraldine White Dalton. He was married to Tammy Caldwell Dalton.

Perry graduated from West Iredell High School in 1988. He enjoyed spending time with all his family members, brothers, and sisters, but spent most of his time speaking with his sister, Deborah (that was his BFF). Perry was a devoted member to his church. He was a true Dallas Cowboys and Duke Blue Devils fan.

Perry was preceded in death by his brothers in law, Gary Lee Patterson, Ronnie Allison, and Steven Franklin Imes.

Other survivors include his very special friend, Renee Harold; his daughter, Jessica Dalton; his brothers, Thomas Roy Dalton Jr., Keith Bernard Jackson, Kenneth Wayne (Theresa) Dalton, and Ricky O’neil (Sherri) Dalton; sisters, Patricia Ann (Tracey) Cockerham, Kim Dalton Imes, and Deborah Dalton Allison; two uncles, Albert (Callie) Leach and Gary White; four aunts, Janet Steele, Betty Redmond, Carolyn Hairston, and Kathy Leach; and host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Monday, October 16, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Bihsop Aljamel Stephens will officiate and Elder Eric Blount will eulogize. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Dalton will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home where members of the family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m.
